KASA and Safe Digital Voices have collaborated to educate young people in South Africa about gender-based violence occurring via online platforms. Drawing on research conducted among university students, various types of content—including blogs and videos—were created to address this issue. This partnership demonstrates the significant impact that research can have in raising awareness, informing communities, and facilitating meaningful social change.

Dr. Aretha Asakitikpi, Director of Research at KASA Training and Development, led a study sponsored by the Association for Progressive Communication on technology-facilitated gender-based violence among South African university youths. The results are published on GenderIT.Org. the online platform coordinated by the Feminist Internet Research Network.
